I got bitten by a brown recluse 3-4 years ago

Luckily I saw it fall out of my bathrobe afterwards so I was able to identify it and check on the internet how to deal with it - ice on the bite to neutralise the venom.

I still had to spend half the day in hospital though to check I wasn't going to have any ill effects.
