It manages a whole library of tunes (& videos as well these days)
Has a whizzy interface to the Apple iTunes store, can set up links to podcasts and create your own, can set up links to MP3 broadcasts and syncs with your iPod.
Real Player doesn't do anything like that I don't think, just plays whatever you throw at it.
