It was shown the season we went down that he wasn't effective. Everything had to go through him. He did slow the game down. He did cut back onto his left. He didn't deliver early balls when the defenders were facing their own net (which was how Ricky scored a lot of his goals for Sporting). All facts and FACTs.

Don't get me wrong, technically a decent player and is effective at times, but it didn't work for us. To say otherwise is attempting to re-write history.
