Wes has earned millions of pounds in the last ten years

By playing for our club. He's helped us we've certainly helped him. The fact that he won't get a testimonial in the summer is not exactly something to cry over and blame the club.

I always thought the whole idea of a testimonial was for the player to get some money for his retirement. Wes doesn't really need it and I'm sure he'd donate the proceeds to a charity anyway. The club will always come first and if the pitch needs relaying then that has to take priority over friendly match.

I remember Gunny's testimonial was during the season so that could be an option next season.
