Look, I am second to none in my admiration of Madders. But the fact is that he has never played in a top league so he is currently unproven at that level. No one is going to pay £25m for an unproven player. You can pick up mid 20s players with loads of international cause for that sort of money.

Spurs bought Deli Alli for £5m when he was 18. That was 3 years ago. Have fees increased 500% in that time? No.
