Yes, Its The "New" Money Thing...
I look at Chelsea and their resources and think that they actually don't have the players or team that they COULD have.
Last night demonstrated again why they should have broken numerous doors down to get Michael Owen when he left Madrid. I cannot understand why they did not go for him, or why Jose feels Drogba (good player, unquestionably, but inconsistent, and not a "great" player the way Owen is) is the answer, ditto Crespo, who equally blows hot and cold. But put Owen alongside Crespo or Drogba and things would be mightily different.
I guess that, whilst he plays 4-3-3, he is always going to prefer the target man with the two wide players and he has got some brilliant "wingers" but it leaves the midfield a bit bare and Barca took full advantage of that last night.
