Very pleasing half, although that comes with a but...
What SiH said after the Barnsley game about never being as good or as bad as you think you are definitely applies to that half.
The energy and the drive of our players has been excellent, with a good mix of possession play to draw Reading out, combined with effective counter attacking to exploit the gaps left behind. However, once again the forwards have wasted ample opportunities in open play, so if it wasn't for some truly horrendous defensive play from Reading at set pieces then this could have been a frustrating half.
Despite that, I will give exclude Hernandez from a that criticism as he has been absolutely electric. If he sharpens up his end product, we could have a real gem on our hands.
I'm not sure what Stam is attempting with Reading's insanely high and disorganised defensive line. Reading keep trying to build up attacks from the back, but are routinely being picked off by Norwich pressing and breaks. Strange that he didn't change Reading's set up. He obviously doesn't do too much work on defending set pieces in training either!
