IT advice please: I have requested a reset on my Apple ID a couple of times now...

...when initially making the request they send a text to my phone to enter into the required field as part of the first phase in resetting my account. Once I've entered that I get a message saying I'll be texted within 24 hours to say when it is ready. I also receive an email alerting me that someone in sodding Manchester tried to reset my account, AKA me in Londons and to reset my account if it wasn't me. And that's that; I never hear anything again...

Does anyone know why this isn[t working? Do I *gulp* need to go and see a sodding 'genius'? Cos if I do I think I might cry as they are yet to have helped me in anyway ever let alone demonstrate anything vaguely genius like...

WTF is the issue for something that seems like it should be pretty straightforward?..
