No, ridicularse. If any country should want to show any solidarity they should do it on an individual basis. We've shot ourselves in the foot in the terms of the EU. Only England qualified from Britain and our obvious allies, USA and Ireland, also didn't qualify anyway. Australia would probably be the only one who might consider it should we pull out, but probably only if they weren't the only ally.

I am quite sure that whoever ordered this to happen thought through the likelihood of a World Cup boycott.

I might be wrong, obviously, but I would really be surprised.
