In response to your earlier post

I was basing my comments on reports at the time of the repayment that it related in part to the rebate monies. Having searched back, Balls was quite vague when asked about the repayment and the matter was never really clarified.

If that is not the case then I am pleased and I apologise to Mr Foulger for accepting and repeating the incorrect reports from a couple of years ago as I was surprised as disappointed at the statement that the monis had been converted to a loan. He has always seemed to me to have a genuine affection for the club (as indeed do Delia and MWJ despite my views on their stance re new ownership). Having looked at the 2009 accounts you are correct that it states he gave £360K as a gift. The later accounts I have seen don't go into detail as to the breakdown of the £1,440 he was subsequently owed but I accept that these could have been separate loans.

Its still a bit unclear but I hold my hands up if I have got it wrong.
