shots on target is a useless stat though for measuring quality of chance

Leitner's chance, for example, was a much better opportunity than the vast majority of shots on target. And I'm pretty sure Oliveira's shot was on target. Maddison hit the post. Two tight offside calls prevented great chances, Murphy dallied when through on goal and Hernandez messed up a great position with a poor pass.

We created loads of opportunities today. The lack of goals certainly wasn't a tactical failing on this occasion.
