Thoughts from today,

We certainly are going to have a big problem when Maddison leaves in the summer. Recruitment is going to be a major issue. Finding talented, young, cheap replacements will be a real challenge.
Hanley is the nailed-on choice for the captaincy next season.
Our lack of penetration even with Maddison is an issue. Think we need genuine pace out wide if we are to be less predictable than we are. Probably new wing backs. Sorry Lewis and Ivo.
We may moan a bit at the slow build up, possession-based style but my god, it is so much better than the hoofball and hope to win second ball that Ipswich play. Their players may change but the style is just the same. I thought I had a soft spot for MM, but he doesn't seem to have moved on. His bleating about lack of investment also comes from not having been good enough to get promotion and get Premiership money + parachute payments.
But we still struggle to cope with teams that get in our face and press high up the pitch. However, it is still work in progress, big changes this year.
