Cannot fault any of my teachers in the late 70's.
Seemed a lot more in control than their present day counterparts - but a lot of that is down to respect by the pupils I reckon. I can only remember one pupil getting expelled during my five years at college. Also teachers could discipline pupils without fear of irate parents hammering down their doors too.
