that's true, although I think those examples are a bit different
they were all signed when we were semi-established in the Prem, or mid season (in Naismith's case), with the aim of taking us on to the next level.
I think that was the right approach then - although perhaps we targeted the wrong players. But definitely if we are on a tight budget then it's the way to go.
I agree about being more exciting as well. Same with giving youth prospects a go; it's much better to see Lewis or Murphy breaking into the team than some Championship journeyman.
