Wes
There is a credible argument for giving him another year.
His ability is undoubtedly on the wane, but his recent cameos against Sheff Utd and Chelsea were both superb and he improved the team both times.
Realistically, we may get an offer for Maddison that we can't refuse this summer.
The next heir apparent for the number 10 role may well then be Cantwell. For him to step up and be a regular in perhaps the most important position on the field would be a big ask. Having Wes to guide him and share the load could make a big difference.
Retiring from internationals might just buy him a bit more time.
Another year would take him past 350 games, into testimonial territory and virtually into sainthood.
All good things must come to an end but the truth is we don't really have many better options.

- No point having him as a cheerleader. If he adds as a coach or a player then fine. (n/m) (NCFC) - Steve in Holland, Feb 8, 14:13:00
