That's quite a good comparison I'd say, given that Gary Neville also managed to be

useful internationally and in the Champions League, whereas Martin as had a decent career for Scotland and also overachieved in a couple of Premier League seasons.

Rangers probably a good place for him at the moment. Funny thing is he could be playing in the Europa League next year while we are still sitting mid table in the Championship. And Jerome or Wildschut could be in the Premier League. Funny old game.
