I thought he did OK. Can't all have debuts like Lewis. However, he looks stiff in the hips
which will always hold him back from playing certain roles. Maddison has fantastic athletic ability and that helps him retain the ball so often. Cantwell will have to pass his way out of situations that Maddison can spin away from.
Not to say that will restrict him from being a great play. Le Tissier is a great example.
