Foo thoughts on Last night

Very enjoyable game.

Stamford Bridge is an a**e to get to if the District Line is not running.

Decent turnout from our fans I thought all things considered.

First 20 minutes they were all over us, Vrancic and Reed were all over the place and just letting them stroll through the middle. Vrancic in particular was being too weak. But then they suddenly got a grip and o have to say from about 25 minutes onwards Vrancic was very good.

Can’t really recall us having a better set of defenders in recent times even in the premier league seasons. Zimmerman was outstanding, even his passing was top quality.

Lewis is great.

Cantwell “grew into it” the longer he was on. Felt he should have shot when we broke away in extra time.

Better pens than usual for us. Fancied Gunn to save a couple but he never really got that close. Didn’t really matter.

Ultimately I went there not wanting to see the confidence knocked out of us through a hiding and we once again performed very creditably against top notch opposition. All in all a good night and confidence can be taken from it.
