Drenthe’s quite pretty though.

There’s nice canals and lakes up at Steendam and Groningen isn’t far. Leeuwarden (sp?) is all right. Also you can get up to the Friesian islands quite easily. Assen, apart from an amusing name, also has a motor racing track and they stage Moto GP if that’s your bag (it’s not mine).

Steve’s been in the Randstad too long...
