I really like Wildschut. I love his ethic, his effort, his boldness, and I really want to
love him as a player but he has such terrible levels of technical ability, especially for a Dutch player. Even Jurgen Colin was clearly a great athlete with some technique (shame he didn't have the same work ethic as Wildschut - he might have been a decent defender). His football intelligence also seems low. Reminds me of the Diop that we had. Seems to have absolutely no plan in his mind for what he'll do post charge, and like Diop seemed to succeed now and again with the dribbles simply because if he has no idea what he's going to do next, the opponent certainly doesn't. But sadly that also means that his team mates don't either, and that was essentially the problem. They didn't know where to run for him and consequently he ends up on an island, tackled, trying to play a killer ball or a 30 yard shot because that's all that's available at the end, and he simply dpesn't have the technical skills to achieve either.
