and WE'D be spending this window adding clever little hands to the squad all over, a journeyman here, a veteran gunslinger with one more showdown in him there. Maybe even push the fiscal boat out on a lovely bit of garnish a-la Daz Huckerby to basically buy the league title.

The only thing we'd have to worry about was s**theels like Stoke and Saints sacking their gaffer and casting lustful eyes at our totemic Scotchman.

Still, at least we're all alive and the flaming ball of gasses in the sky is still functioning.
