If we sell Maddison now, in the January craziness during a season we can pretty much already write off promotion-wise, rather than wait for him to get unsettled and lower offers to come in over the summer when we are building a team around him, that might hurt us less. I think we have more chance of holding on to Pritchard for two or three years than we do of keeping Maddison for one (unless he breaks a leg or something).
