At the end of the day we are a football club, not a church, and football is a ruthless dog-eat-dog business.
Nigel has not only failed to bring success for the past two seasons but has wasted millions of pounds on poor quality signings in the process.
Football managers are much like business executives, if they fail at one company they get a big pay off and move into a similar position at another large company.
There?s nothing particularly disloyal about it, it?s just the way in which the business operates. Large companies do it to appease angry shareholders and football clubs do it to appease angry fans.
