And now Worthington publicly thanks the fans

I have said it before. He really can manipulate people very well. He did it to get the job, he did it to get a better contract and now he's doing it to keep the job and to trick people into thinking he nows what he's doing.

The sad thing is people are falling for it. Can anybody supply the stat of how many away games we've won under Worthington? And if you take out the promotion season I bet that's a very damning statistic. Why? Because away from home is when a manager's tactical acumen is most tested.

Anybody with a real appreciation of the game knows that good managers make their teams hard to beat away from home. That takes tactical nous..hence Worthington's record.

However, as has been said already, as long as most people are happy with middle of the Championship and a nice cosy club we'll keep employing nice Mr. Worthington. But it's an insult to the efforts of Stringer, Walker and those who dared to think we could go further. Imagine Worthington taking a team into Europe (apart from the fact it could never happen) ..he'd probably start with nine at the back and one up front!
