No....

1) We don't have two 4-4-2 wingers
2) We have (at least now) midfielders who are either creative attacking midfielders (Wes, Pritchard, Maddison, Murphy, even Wildschut, Stiepermann and Naismith) or defensive midfielders (Trybull, Tettey, Reed). We don't have the box-to-box 4-4-2 type of central midfielders.
3) Our fullbacks, whilst needing an upgrade perhaps, are more wingbacks than fullbacks. A 4-4-2 would require them to be more defensive without the two defensive midfielders to help out.

I think the only player other than strikers who might benefit from a 4-4-2 would be Vrancic. I wonder if he isn't more of a traditional 4-4-2 central midfielder. He looked better from a deep lying role although he wasn't great at defending.

Our entire squad is set up to play with a single out and out striker. We also have quite a number of foreign players - Zimmerman, Klose, Trybull, Vrancic, Stiepermann, Pinto, Olivieira, Wildschut, etc so it's not like we can use the old excuse that 4-4-2 is what they know best and we're trying to be too complicated by using a different formation.
