I think it would have been asking a lot to expect Lewis, Thompson, Godfrey etc. to come straight into the team going for promotion.

A full-back who can defend, and a strong def mid as back-up to Tettey would have been better instead of those 5 signings who don't fit any positions very well.

That would have left money to strengthen other positions such as a proper winger and a proper striker.
