Has anyone played any genuinely good computer games recently?

Looking to buy something for PS4, but have found most modern games to be completely dull, eg walk in a linear way and do as you're told, before watching a 15 minute film (and repeat).

For example, Unchartered I found completely beyond pointless so stopped after the 3rd massive long story film. The modern Tomb Raider games are similarly s**t and lack any need to have skill or a brain.

I replayed Medal of Honor: Frontline a while back and it reminded me how great the older games were in comparison. Is there a good COD game (and I'm not talking good online play)?
