The retrospective reverence for McNally is baffling. Fair enough he got Lambert in but he got a lot of other things wrong. What’s worse is that he bailed when he realised how much he’d screwed up.
It was interesting that Ed Balls actually named that last Prem Jan window as the root cause of a lot of our current financial woes
