American. The NFL is the most competitive league in the
world. It's because they impose a hard salary cap. Everyone spends the same on players and the best run teams rise to the top. I understand the argument that salary caps in England would hurt chances of attracting stars from the rest of the world. Have to choose. Do you want a system based on stars clustered on 6 teams or a truly top to bottom competitive league? I personally choose the latter.
