The Wolves Manager flies to Kabul to watch a young Afghan footballer in action. He is impressed and arranges for the player to come to the UK.
Two weeks later Wolves are 2-0 down in a vital game with only 20 minutes left.The young Afghan striker comes on and scores three times to win the game. The fans, the players the manager and the media are delighted. After the game the player phones his Mum to tell her about his first game in English football.
"Mum guess what he says, I played for 20 minutes today. We were 2-0 down but then I scored three goals. Everyone loves me!"
"Wonderful" says his Mother, "but let me tell you about my day. Your father was shot in the street, myself and your sister were ambushed and she would have been raped had it not been for a passing police vehicle, and your brother has joined a gang of looters and has started setting fire to buildings - but it's all ok because you are having a great time".
The lad is upset to hear that. "What can I say Mum, I'm really really sorry".
"Sorry...!!! Sorry...!!!" says his Mum.
"It's your bloody fault we came to Wolverhampton in the first place!"
