I have to confess as well, to feeling a bit sorry for their fans

and I don't even mean it in a snidey, 'look at how s**t they are', way. Just the listlessness and apathy around the club must be pretty depressing from a football point of view. With a few different decisions and less luck, it could have been us in the same position.

It's a shame as well that at least one generation of people that have grown up in Ipswich and the surroundings will just associate the team as a dull non-entity and many will probably just become glory hunting Chelsea or Man Utd supporters instead of supporting their local team, which is not good for the game as a whole.
