I’d go for a MacBook Air. Cheapest spec. Check if she wants
13 inch screen (which I prefer) or 11 which a lot of women prefer as it fits in their handbag.
Don’t need loads of SSD space. If she needs storage use externa usb or memory sticks for things you don’t need every day.
Air is perfect. Light, fast as f**k. Don’t need all the bells of the pro and rarely need a dvd drive these days. Only thing to check is if her school network has WiFi. Doubt they don’t. But the air doesn’t have a fixed network socket so it’s WiFi only.
