The sponsors and tv companies love it.

Some ex footballers do it because they haven't done any research and generally don't care about the question they are being asked, so they use the same response they heard a week ago.

Journos are well aware they know the anwers to the questions they ask, but they are just provoking verbal diarrhea to pad the silence

The end result is idiots who start to care and then you have Ian Wright with a microphone in his hand
