It's a choice - that's the key thing

Is someone a better fan for going more often? Probably a more dedicated fan, someone who has chosen football as their primary passion. But not more devoted I argue. I used to be an away season ticket holder - at the time I had quite a lot of cash, and worked part time with no family commitments. When I went back to full time working, got older and more tired, that option was both less appealing and less practical. The club created away season tickets for those fans who want to be 100% dedicated to the cause. IT created away points to prioritise those 'dedicated' fans when there are games with limited availability, or high demand. This is one game where the second didn't happen, for whatever reason, and yet we seem to think that anyone who took advantage of this is depriving others. What a miserable world - Ralf's kids shouldn't go, Strap-on's kids shouldn't go. Really?

Extend these arguments and I'm only allowed to have medical treatment if I've shown that I've been ill lots of times and spent ages at the doctor.
