The Plan
for the Board must be to limp through to the end of the season with Worthington and then make a decision on the manager's future away from the pressure the football season.
The best case scenario would be to sack Worthy within a week of the end of the season and immediately start the search for a new manager with a view to an appointment by early June.
Next season represents our last serious opportunity for promotion. Time for a fresh start.
