I must say I thought we might spend some of the Murphy cash

To me that felt like a sale we didn't need to make for book balancing purposes and thought it would leave us free to reinvest a bit now and in January.

That doesn't seem to have happened as yet, but I'm sure that DF and SW must have areas that they would like us to be stronger in. Really, if we signed a player in more or less any position (except number 10 and possibly gk?) an argument could be made that it was needed.
