This might seem controversial but.........

The main problems for years:

A) All of the defence.

B) Defensive midfield - Tettey is about the only proper defensive midfielder in the whole squad (although O'Neil was also good when alongside Tettey).

C) Lack of Strikers - Olive is the best striker NC have had for years. CamJam works hard. That is about all the proper strikers Norwich have in the whole squad.

None of those issues have been addressed. In fact, it's worse now that Olive, Wes and Tettey have become bench warmers. They were not the problem with the team, they were the best aspects of it.

Zimmerman seems a good bloke and says that the standard is a massive step-up for him and didn't expect to be starting matches. Husband is the only left-back and was 3rd choice at a rival club. Martin has been in poor form for years and yet was given a new contract. I'm not sure about Franke. Reed is only on-loan and is getting brushed-off the ball and not covering well.

Farke makes excuses saying Pinto and Klose are injured. Pinto is quick but isn't good at defending and Klose was like Bambi on ice.

If Norwich are serious about challenging for auto-promotion then a whole new, much better defence needs to be signed, urgently.

To help pay for it, they could try to off-load Martin and loan-out Zimmerman. Naismith might as well go on a free if need be to reinvest the wages.

If Norwich don't address these problems then it is going to become more difficult to recruit good players, and more of the best players will want to leave.
