My one comparison is NFL Gamepass - a great service they've which was initially offered

for free here in NL for two years before first asking for a reduced yearly subscription (around 95 euros) and the it went up to the normal global price of 170 euros. They also introduce discounts as the season progresses, aware that late subscribers would be able to watch fewer live games.

But even that - when I am in NL I can watch any NFL game at all - pre-season and post-season, even those being broadcast by Fox Sports over here - but when I am in the UK they black out any game which is being broadcast on Sky Sports. And all games, regardless of blackout, are available to be watched again after the game is finished (for about three years I believe). My subscription gives me potentially 333 live games per year. That's obviously impossible as a lot of them are played at the same time. But if I had no job and no life I could watch up to 7 live games in a (long) weekend, and all 333 over the course of the year.

What they've done is offer two services - NFL GamePass for foreign subscribers and NFL Now for US subscribers. And if I understand correctly the US version blacks out anybody geolocated within the local area of the home team for any game.

Mind you like I said they've monked up the tech a bit this year as far as I can see it, and I am suspicious of the newly named NFL GamePass Europe app.... horrible feeling they are getting ready to start restrictions as well.

I hope iFollow starts to move to the NFL model rather than the other way around although I fear that will not be the case.
