Went to the game today (middle son's first game!)

A few of my thoughts (for what they're worth..)

Vrancic looks a steal at 500k, great left foot, composed and plays with his head up.
Was pleasantly surprised by Zimmerman although don't see him as first choice when Klose fit.
Same with Russ (I know, I know)
Maddison is a class act, seems to love it in the middle of the park BUT reminds me of when everyone used to boot Bellamy out of games.
Reed looks like a very intelligent footballer, great anticipation and allows Vrancic/Madders to go and press high by filling the gaps
Wildschut - there's a player in there somewhere, all down to confidence.
In general, I like the way we are trying to play and that we aim to dominate possession. I think it will be more successful away from home as sides will come onto us more. Brighton were reluctant to come out and press high for much of today which results in a lot of sideways stuff - I don't mind it but there were already some near me moaning about it.
This is an exciting time to be a Nodge fan imo and already the change to a team with a pattern of play, a strategy and an identity is significant, supporters are going to need to be open to it too.
