My thoughts...

Positives

Yannick, ran well with the ball and started to attack full back when confidence grew. Took goal very well. Square ball for the second was so calm and well executed.

Reed, looked very comfortable and technically good. Gave team blalance slight concern on physicality.

Maddison showed glimpses of excellence but did drift and still looks light weight

Husband looked comfortable defending and going forward only got beaten once first half.

Godfrey - there is a player there. Played RB an LwB didn't put foot wrong. Impressive frame and ability to get up and down.

Nelson will be excellent if stays fit. Fits the slow build up play very well

Observations (not being negative)

Of all the defenders RM seemed less comfortable with short game and slung it long a few times

Josh Murphy had a night to forget. Drifted first half and made no impact through the middle second half. Might be kit but looks smaller in frame to Jacob of last season

Vrancic took a while to get into the game (raft of changes) not sure we will see many tackles from him.

Naismith showed much better attitude, was organising, took goal very well. But still not convinced this system will get best of him over a season.
