I have never said they should be run out of town
But I do believe that the ownership model they are imposing on the club will render us uncompetitive very quickly unless we happen to get up this season.
I am far from convinced that many really understand the financial reality of being a "self funding" club once the parachute payments run out and the expectation that we will spend most or all of the Murphy money illustrates this. We will need to sell a Murphy virtually every season just to give ourselves a vaguely competitive budget.
Had the club ploughed millions into the club infrastructure whilst receiving the prem tv monies then at least you could say this is all part of a long term strategy for self sufficiency but they didn't did they.
