Don't get me wrong
I like the idea of the club being regarded as a friendly club, or a family club, and one that invests in the local community.
I think in this day and age that is an admirable thing.
But this need not be at the expense of ambition and drive. The board have taken some very positive steps, such as selling land and rebuilding the south stand (with expansion option built in) and doing the corner infill.
They've also shown they are prepared to release money, and really pull some strings to make transfer deals happen. I don't think many fans would be upset at the amount of money that's been available in the spending pot (ok the quality of aquistions is another argument).
Delia repeatedly makes these 'little Norwich' comments i'm sure just to stop the board, fans and players from getting too excited when we're doing well or too disappointed when we're performing badly.
Clearly though, we are all disappointed, but i'm also surprised, given the board's preparedness to expand the stadium and spend money, why they have such steadfast belief in a manager who has seemingly nothing left to offer NCFC.
