The Big Money Owner model is fine for the initial few years, but when they get bored and/or run out of money (probably coupled with having had a run of poor managerial/player purchase disasters), you're back to square one - if not worse, as you're often saddled with their debts as they extricate themselves.

Who has it truly worked for at our level?
