Well if he wants to go it's best to let him go - agree there.
I'm just not so sure about the age thing (taken in isolation): If they're still decent, I'd rather we kept players at that age rather than try to recoup money for them; the spending of the proceeds seems to be a bit hit and miss anyway and so I'm not sure it's necessarily good financial sense to get a return on a player who has shown they're worth having.
