Video tech in rugby, there are still some grey areas: did he get the ball down? was the
pass forward? is that tackle worthy of a red card? Etc
Still works well though, although arguably due to the number of bodies and not being able to see the ball easily, but don't give up on VAR just yet. Agree with the comments re the video assistant has to make the decision - easy solution is to put him up in the stands rather than at the side of the pitch so the ref cannot go and have a look.
