Said amendment was really just politicking by Corbyn and comrades so they could use the result to say the Tories are blocking public sector pay rises. To be honest they are using the public sector workers as pawns in their little class war struggle.

because it was an amendment to the Queens speech they knew the Tories and DUP would have to vote against it which is exactly why they proposed it. No incoming government is going to vote in an opposition amendment to their queens speech and had they done so here it would probably have finished May.

For what it's with I do think they should end the 1% cap and almost certainly they will in the budget which is when the matter really should be addressed, as labour well know.
