You're missing the point
She went yesterday, spoke to a small number of senior fire officers in a sealed room and left.
It was pointed out to her that this made her look s**t. Really really heartless, scared, disconnected, whatever depending on your view point. So she went back today, apparently, and spoke to some residents.
So well done for going back today. But a properly calibrated human being shouldn't have needed to be told in the first place.
