No

The more we hear the horror these people went through, the more we hear about babies being handed out of windows, the more we hear about people taking it in turns to breathe from open windows and one by one not reappearing, the more we hear about people phoning their loved ones and then the line going dead, the more we hear about people jumping out of 10 story windows...

the better the (slim) chance that those in power might just get the message that at some point the cuts to local authority capital budgets and maintenance budgets and enforcement budgets and emergency services budgets and all of that other good stuff just has to stop.

There doesn't seem to be a magic money tree for the things that matter, but there does suddenly seem to be a magic money tree, for example, paying off the DUP in order to stay in power, or ending austerity because an election was nearly lost (barely days after hammering Labour for it). Etc etc etc.

So no, the more we hear about the absolutely preventable horror that was this disaster, the better.
