Talking of great inventions, here is an "interesting" thing.
The Stethoscope is a fantastic invention but did you know?????
That most of the world outside of Asia pronounces stethoscope as........stethoscope.
Don't believe me...... put it in google translate.....
Not sure how many words referring to an object are pronounced the same in so many different languages.
