'do something' - like what?
this urge to do 'something', anything as long as it's 'something'. it's bollocks. It's a band aid on an open wound. It leads us down the wrong path. You don't respond to people attacking our liberal lifestyle by becoming less liberal.
Heaven forbid May and co actually stop to try to work out why this ideology of hate is finding so many ardent followers amongst 2nd or 3rd generation immigrants. Why/how has society failed in this respect? What can we do better? How can we better encourage integration? It might require some thought, compassion and funding. Much easier to wibble on that 'enough is enough'.
